Trunkrs claim deadlines, liability and evidence
Trunkrs requires a claim within 5 working days of receipt for damage, or within 10 working days of a shipment being declared lost. Shipments are not insured by default, so compensation follows the AVC rate of EUR 3.40 per kilogram.

Liability regime
FENEX
Trunkrs is a same-day and next-day last-mile carrier that operates as a forwarder rather than as a carrier in its own right. That distinction matters: the FENEX conditions it contracts on include mandatory arbitration, and its default compensation sits on the AVC per-kilo floor rather than on goods value.
Claim windows
Trunkrs contracts as a forwarder under the FENEX Nederlandse Expeditievoorwaarden, and applies AVC compensation to shipments because they are not insured by default.
Damaged or spoiled shipment
5 working days
Counted from receipt.
Lost shipment
10 working days
Counted from the declaration of loss.
Insured versus uninsured
No additional cover
Shipments are not insured by default, so the AVC rate applies: EUR 3.40 per kilogram of the damaged or missing goods.
With cover bought
Cover above the AVC rate has to be arranged separately, either with Trunkrs or through your own goods-in-transit policy.
Delay and late delivery
Not compensated.

What quietly kills Trunkrs claims
Working days, not calendar days, and only 5 of them for damage. This is the tightest damage window on this list.
The loss clock starts at the declaration of loss rather than at the expected delivery date, so chasing Trunkrs to formally declare a shipment lost is what actually opens the window.
An invoice is mandatory, not optional. A claim submitted without one will not proceed.
FENEX includes mandatory arbitration to the exclusion of the ordinary courts, which changes the economics of disputing a rejected claim.
