What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. This policy also covers similar storage in your browser, such as session storage, because it raises the same questions.

Necessary Cookies

These are required for the website and the dashboard to work: they keep you signed in, protect your account and remember your cookie choice. They cannot be disabled. We do not use a cookie to remember your language; that comes from the address of the page you are reading.

Analytics

Analytics is off until you allow it, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the button under Managing Cookies below. When you allow it, two things run.

Our own visit record. We record the pages you view on our website, the page that referred you, your IP address and browser, and the network owner and approximate location that our hosting provider, Cloudflare, derives from your IP address. A random identifier in your browser's session storage ties the pages of one visit together and is cleared when you close the tab. If you arrived through a link in one of our emails, or you request a demo, the record is linked to your email address. Pages inside the dashboard are not recorded. We keep these records until you ask us to delete them.

Google Analytics 4. It sets its own cookies and sends your page views, which of our forms you submit and whether you used the audit calculator (never what you typed into them), your approximate location and device information to Google, acting as a processor on our behalf. Google keeps this event data for 14 months. In the dashboard it records no page views, only a few account events, such as starting, cancelling or converting a trial, with the plan involved and never your name, email address or organization. We do not link it to advertising products: through Google's consent mode we tell it that only analytics was allowed, so its advertising signals stay off. Identifying parameters are removed from the page addresses we report. If you decline, the Google script is never loaded at all, rather than loaded and asked not to record.

Marketing

Marketing is off until you allow it, separately from analytics, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time in the same way.

LinkedIn Insight Tag. We advertise on LinkedIn, and this tag tells us whether those ads lead to visits and to calls booked through our booking page. It sends the pages you view on our website and your browser information to LinkedIn, which can link them to your LinkedIn account if you have one and are signed in. We see only totals, never who you are. It records nothing inside the dashboard and is not loaded at all when you arrive through a personalised link in one of our emails. LinkedIn uses this data under its own privacy policy. If you decline, the LinkedIn script is never loaded, and if you withdraw after allowing it, the page reloads without it.

Third-Party Cookies

The only advertising tag we use is the LinkedIn Insight Tag above, and only after you have allowed marketing. Besides its cookie on our domain, LinkedIn sets cookies on its own domain, linkedin.com, under LinkedIn's cookie policy; we cannot read or delete those. Google Analytics sets cookies, but only after you have allowed analytics. Payments happen on Stripe's own checkout pages, not on our website, so Stripe's cookies are set there under Stripe's own policies.

Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling necessary cookies may affect platform functionality.

To change the choice you made here, reopen the cookie banner and choose again. Withdrawing is one click, exactly like accepting. When you decline analytics, we also delete the Google Analytics cookies and the visit identifier from your browser. When you decline marketing, we delete the LinkedIn cookie on our domain.
